Alejandro Szita,
President & Mortgage Broker

Alejandro Szita has been doing loans and real estate transactions in Southern California since 2006. He is a California and Florida mortgage broker, and a California real estate broker. He is a member of the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts, the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, the Pacific West Association of Realtors, and a graduate of the Infinite Banking Concept Practitioner Course.

Growing up in Chile, Alejandro was always fascinated by the topic of finance, and at a young age, he decided to find out how money works. After working in his family’s business and studying economics at the University of Santiago, Alejandro gained work experience in Australia, New Zealand and the UK before settling in Southern California in 1994.

Alejandro started in mortgages in 2006, and he later worked for over 10 years as a real estate agent under a prominent Los Angeles real estate broker, where he became familiar with many different real estate and financial scenarios. He has worked in commercial sales, leasing, and luxury residential, and he also raised private equity for a commercial real estate fund for several years. There is almost nothing in real estate he hasn’t seen.

In 2018, he co-founded Prosperity Lending with Thisbe Ongania and now specializes in out-of-the-box real estate loans for successful small business owners and self-employed professionals.

When needed, Alejandro uses his experience to help his clients solve problems relating to title, tenants, disputes among owners and a host of other real estate problems to get loans and transactions done. He partners with trusted real estate agents, accountants and real estate lawyers when necessary.

Of all the things he has done in his career, Alejandro most enjoys working with small business owners, helping them use real estate and real estate financing to get to the next level.

“Self-employed people are out-of-the-box, creative people just like me,” says Alejandro, “and I love working with them and helping them get where they want to go. This is an underserved market in the lending industry, and over the years I have been fortunate enough to acquire the knowledge to be able to step into this gap. I consider it an honor that many of my clients have made me their go-to finance guy.”

Alejandro is a regular guest on real estate and business podcasts, dispelling mortgage myths and sharing financing tips for business owners. He considers himself a lifelong student of economics and continually keeps up-to-date with the latest developments in lending.

Thisbe Ongania,
VP Marketing & Administration

Thisbe Ongania takes care of the marketing, PR, and the internal administration at Prosperity Lending—overseeing accounting, personnel, vendor relations, basically everything other than the loans. She has over 20 years of experience in marketing, public relations and administration.

Thisbe manages all of our marketing campaigns and is the editor of “Home Finance Magazine,” our in-house mortgage magazine.

Outside of Prosperity Lending, she is a jazz singer and songwriter with her own record label. Her music has been featured in movies and TV shows such as “The Blacklist,” “Bull,” and “The Right Stuff” on ABC, NBC, CBS, Disney+ and The Hallmark Channel.
